Pictured above is an OLD COLONY half-strip in Explorer colors of green & brown.  This same council strip had already been known in khaki & red and red & white, but this is a new find.  Note that the letters are gauze-backed, as is commonly seen on the oldest half-strips.  This piece was found in a group of other old Massachusetts council half-strips, including a khaki & red SACHEM, a khaki & red NORUMBEGA, a khaki & red OLD COLONY, and a blue & white CAMBRIDGE on felt.
